Tokidoki Rikugou is a history-hating student who fails his Japanese History class; his high school makes him attend a special museum talk to make up for his failing grade. With an intricate simulation of the Tokugawa Shogunate: the Edo Bakumatsu Walking Tour and Exhibition, its centerpiece display, a massive replica of the Edo Period, promises to ease the wayward student's poor grades. Knowing next to nothing about samurai culture or the era he's entered, he's taken aback when he discovers Japan's superstitious character in the 1600s. He quickly dismisses the idea of gods and demons, so when he is approached by a demon on a bridge who assaults an unsuspecting high-schooler, he is taken aback. He was rescued by Kuchiha, a strange swordsman.
