Yuuta Hoshitani and Team Ootori have started a new school year at Ayanagi Academy. As the school's annual graduation show dubbed "Shadow and Lights" approaches, the Musical Department's second years are required to participate in the production as part of their curriculum. Five of the division's 25 students will obtain training roles and actively engage as actors in the program alongside the graduating class. Obtaining one of these desired positions will not only improve a student's academic status within the department, but will also place them in contention for a position on the exclusive Kao Council. While every student in the department competes for one of the five training positions, Team Yuzuriha's Riku Ageha is practically a front-runner for the role of Alexis' Shadow. Having idolized an Ayanagi alumnus' performance of Alexis, Ageha has spent a majority of his life perfecting the portrayal in hopes of being selected for the show.
