Yuuya Nomoto, a college student, discovers his companions brutally killed by Hitomi Uzaki, the high school girl they sought to take, after unintentionally engaging in an abduction. He discovers himself being staked as the prize for a death fight between two Therianthropes, superpowered human-animal hybrids generated via sophisticated gene therapy, after being forced to transport her to a hidden location. Hitomi, as one of these hybrids, uses her ratel genes' speed and fearlessness to mercilessly murder her attacker and save Yuuya from impending death. Yuuya awakens hours later, assuming that the whole thing was just a nightmare, to discover that he has been entangled in a covert proxy battle between four huge Japanese corporate corporations, with the winner seizing control of the economy.
