Hiroshi Odokawa, the walrus, enjoys a somewhat regular existence despite being eccentric and rude. He works as a cab driver, where he meets various interesting people, including the unemployed Taichi Kabasawa, who is determined to go viral, the intriguing nurse Miho Shirakawa, the failing comic team "Homo Sapiens," and Dobu, a well-known delinquent. Odokawa's easy way of life, however, is about to be flipped upside down. The case of a missing girl that the police have been investigating leads back to him, and he is now being pursued by both the yakuza and a pair of corrupt officers. Odd Taxi is a fascinating narrative about a lowly taxi driver and the mystery of a missing high schooler set in a curiously similar city full of peculiar people.
