Mirai Onozawa, a middle school girl, is unsatisfied with her family's situation and, in a fit of rage, desires to destroy everything. Unfortunately, only a few seconds later, these destructive ideas seem to come true in the shape of a magnitude 8.0 earthquake. When summer vacation begins, Mirai grudgingly transports her younger brother Yuuki to Odaiba, where he want to visit a robot show. However, while they are in the exposition center, the Kanto area is rocked by a large earthquake; powerless, both children watch the natural disaster's catastrophic force as it drags the city to its knees. In the aftermath, they come across Mari Kusakabe, a single mother and biker who resolves to assist the young man.
