The main character of the anime is Akira Kiyose, who performs under the stage name "KIKUNOYU" on a video streaming website. One day, the talent agency sMiLea Production discovers him. The famed idol duo AneLa formed the organization sMiLea to develop up-and-coming idols. Akira then creates an idol group with fellow scouts Banri Naoe and Chihiro Isuzugawa. Along with Legit and Jaxx Jaxx, two other new idol groups from sMiLea Production, their new group, Protostar, will make its debut.
